Be it Burgenland, where the warm microclimate gives rise to one of the best Blaufrankisch and Zweigelts in Europe, or the western Weinviertel, where you will find amazing Pinot and Saint Laurent.

Do not expect heavy wines of the south, but red full of life and fruit, often similar to the best domestic from the Blue Mountains or Znojmo. Imagine the production of Judith Beck, Austria's most famous biodynamic winemaker, taste wines from the current star of young Austrian winemakers Clause Preiser and evaluate whether the top rated Saint Laurent of Weinviertel from the winery Gruber deserved his 96 points.
